MALOLOS CITY— BuLSU e-Library experiences a swarm of students as the administration initiates library reader orientations and the distribution of the Student Library Identification Code (SLIC) for the current academic year, 2023-2024.

Bulacan State University's e-Library building, located near Gate 1 of the campus, takes studying to a whole new level. This was established in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and is now formally open to all legitimate BulSU students.

The e-Library offers students access to a large selection of digital materials, including e-books, online journals, and research databases. It is packed with cutting-edge technology and provides cozy study areas, a public Internet connection, and professional librarian support to help students succeed in their academic endeavors.

Despite the enthusiasm of the BulSuans during its first year of operation, the modern library is unable to serve the entire campus due to its limited space and the ongoing influx of students. As a result, many students find themselves unable to access the library's resources and struggle to find suitable study spaces on campus.

The library has adopted the Student Library Identification Code (SLIC) system to monitor student usage. Students must swipe their ID cards to enter and exit the library, allowing staff to monitor space usage and identify peak resource usage. This system helps identify when students are using the space effectively.

Students must attend the reader orientation in the e-Library to obtain it, which can assist them in registering for library records. During the orientation, students will learn how to navigate the library's online catalog, access digital resources, and utilize the SLIC system effectively.

Furthermore, they will be provided with information on library policies and guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient library experience for all students.

Students will also be introduced to the various study spaces available in the library, such as relaxation areas, group study rooms, and their own PWD Room. This will enable them to make informed decisions about where and how to study based on their individual needs and preferences.

The orientation will also highlight the library's commitment to promoting information literacy skills, including how to critically evaluate sources, cite references, and avoid plagiarism.

The e-Library is also offering 24-hour library services to students who invest themselves in studying during their midterm and final examinations.

All of the amenities are free to utilize as long as the students have their SLIC. Those who wish to use the e-Library are encouraged to attend scheduled orientations to be released through their Facebook page.
