Bulacan State University starts library orientation for BulSUans

Last august 2023, Bulacan state university E-library in collaboration with Student government, welcomed both faculty members and students to its first library orientation

The purpose of the orientation is to familiarize Bulsuans with their new library services and facilities as well as the rules and regulations of the library equipment per floor such as the availability of rooms, computer, books, Digital Catalog and Search, E-Learning Platforms, Electronic Resources, and even virtual assistance. Last year, the library had 24/7 service for midterm and finals week and which is still going on this year. These services are continually developing to adapt to the changing needs and expectations of library readers.

BulSU E-library offers a lot of services with the assistance of their staff which they call Librarian on Duty (LODY) The BulSU library offers virtual instructional services to help users to locate and access the information available in the library.

Orientation schedule has two sessions in the morning, the first session starts from 8 AM to 10 AM and the second session starts from 10 AM to 12 PM. There are also two sessions in the afternoon, the first session starts from 1 PM to 3 PM and the second session starts from 3 PM to 5 PM in Amphitheater, 7th floor of BulSU E-lib. Students and colleges can schedule their orientation but walk-ins are also welcome as long as your schedule permits. The orientation can last up to an hour. After the orientation, students are required to fill-out the evaluation and registration forms on the 6th floor of the establishment.

After working days, BulSUans can get their SLIC (Student Library Identification Code) this sticker will be attached to your IDs. Before entering the Library, you need to scan your SLIC located at the information desk for time in and out after. This will help to easily identify the number of students that will enter the establishments instead of lining up to answer the registration form that took a few minutes. Indeed the Bulacan State University utilizes the technologies in providing the best services in their E-Library and to help the students and faculty members in academic purposes.
